Subject outline

In this subject students will evaluate, observe and recognise factors with an impact on the health of staff, volunteers and patients/clients within organisations in the health sector. Organisational issues such as culture, teamwork, conflict and individual and organisational change will be examined. Students are introduced to various theories of management linked with public health and health promotion concepts related to healthy organisations. Throughout the subject students will develop management skills and promote healthy workplaces.
