Subject outline

Students plan and undertake a supervised outdoor teaching practice, and a negotiated program of field experience to extend their outdoor education preparation. Students learn to prepare teaching plans, and safety management plans informed by a study of serious incidents. Students are encouraged to build on their experience in specialist areas of their choice. Students undertake an agreed Applied Learning Experience, which may include advanced skill development, work placement or peer trip leading.
