Intended Learning Outcomes

01. Develop a critical understanding of the associated social, historical, cultural and environmental aspects of the rock environments used for rock climbing.
02. Critically reflect on your experience knowledge and skills so as to develop safe practice and good judgement.
03. Lead climb safely and act in a manner that is respectful of self, the natural environment, other cliff dwellers and users.
04. Demonstrate the technical skills to do the following: setup and abseil safely using a variety of devices and techniques; setup top rope systems; and enable basic self-rescues for self and partner.
