Subject outline

In this subject, students are introduced to the theoretical and practical study of outdoor and environmental studies. Students will examine and explore connections between ways of experiencing the outdoors and knowledge of the outdoors, with an emphasis on implications for environmental sustainability. Students will also develop skills of critical enquiry, academic reading and writing, problem-solving, and teamwork. A three-day practical field trip provides opportunities for observation and reflection which are recorded through journal keeping.
