Subject outline

This subject presents an evidence-based approach to evaluating children's occupational performance and component skills in relation to different client groups. Students will gain knowledge in test development theory and skills in appraising content and criterion validity, reliability and discriminant ability of measures. These skills will be applied to critiquing and selecting assessments and outcome measures within paediatric occupational therapy and enabling students to evaluate their own intra-rater reliability. New measures and developments in existing measures in paediatric occupational therapy will be reviewed.
