Subject outline

In this subject, students will develop advanced knowledge of nursing and midwifery practice. Students will examine the elements of the research process including identifying a research problem, formulation of a research question, research design, methods, data collection, analyses and dissemination of results. Students will acquire skills required to conduct a literature review for research purposes and address the ethics of research, develop cognitive and technical skills that demonstrate a broad understanding of a body of knowledge relevant to clinical practice. They will also acquire skills required to conduct a literature review for research purposes, develop appropriate research methods and address the ethics of research.
