Credit points: 15

Subject outline

In this subject you will continue your research learning journey of focusing on nursing and/or midwifery research problems by examining the elements of the research process. This will include identifying a research problem and learning how to formulate aims and research questions. You will build on your knowledge of different research designs, data collection tools, methods of recruitment of suitable participants and how to undertake appropriate analysis of data. A short critical appraisal of recently published literature will be used to commence the process of learning how to prepare a comprehensive literature review, which will be the focus of their second subject in the course.
