NSG2ANB
2020
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
This subject will build upon your current skills, knowledge and attitudes required by Registered Nurses for the provision of patient-centred care for persons experiencing a complex acute illness requiring hospitalisation. You will examine nursing care that is required for hospitalised patients experiencing renal, musculoskeletal, cancer and haematological disorders. This subject will offer an array of teaching modalities including lectures, online activities, workshops, laboratories and simulations. These have been designed to enable you to continue to develop and consolidate your critical thinking and complex nursing care alongside the development and refinement of your technical nursing skills. To achieve the learning objectives of this subject you will be expected to complete a range of written and clinical assessments. A clinical placement is embedded within this subject to develop your learning and consolidation. By the end of this subject you will be prepared for third year of your nursing studies.
