This subject introduces students to selected topics and current issues in infectious disease that are important to Australia and further abroad. The topics include: 'A healthy Australia: control of endemic and exotic diseases'; 'The era of the 'superbug''; 'Safety in the food supply chain'; 'Lifestyle and infectious disease'; 'Environmental sources of disease'; and 'The impact of neglected parasitic diseases on human and animal health'.
