Subject outline

In this subject, you will apply your knowledge of human resource management and employees relations practices to a range of contemporary organisational problems. You will examine the relationship between human resource management and organisational strategy, and analyse the impact of high performance work systems on employee attitudes and behaviours, and organisational performance. You will explore a range of challenges confronting HR practitioners, including the gender diversity in organisations, precarious forms of employment, the use of human resource metrics and ethical problems in HRM. You will develop novel and defensible HR solutions to address these challenges.
