In Australia, most business is carried out by companies and other groups of persons. In this subject students deal with the key features of the legislation and cases which govern the formation and regulation of these business associations. This subject explains how these laws operate on the economy and society at large and on persons and institutions within society, along with how persons and institutions may best utilise these laws. Students completing this subject should be able to apply rules and principles extracted from legislation and cases to describe how the main operational activities are carried out in, and resolve disputes arising from, the operations and functioning of business associations.
