Subject outline

Case Management is the approach used to manage clients within criminal justice and community-based settings. In this subject, through online modules and face-to-face workshops, you will be introduced to the theories, principles and techniques associated with case management. You will learn about the different forms this approach takes as well as the ethical and practical aspects of it. You will gain important skills in relation to communication, referral practices, client assessment and the creation of case management plans, all of which are crucial to achieving best practice. This subject should be taken by anyone who intends to seek a work placement involving case management at third year.
