Forensic linguistics is where linguistic expertise, techniques and analyses intersect with legal processes. In this subject students explore a range of areas of law in which linguistics can contribute to evidence. In exploring topics such as author attribution, speaker identification and courtroom discourse, students learn about diverse linguistic methods and theory and their practical application to real world problems.
