Subject outline

This subject constitutes the thesis component of the Legal Studies Honours Program, and will run over the duration of two semesters. Working under the supervision of a staff member, students are required to design, research and produce a 12,000-15,000 word thesis on an approved topic. Students must also attend the Honours seminar series which will be tailored to your topic areas and designed to support and further develop your research skills. There will be approximately ten seminars (dates and times to be arranged with the instance co-ordinator and depending on eventual enrolments), beginning in first semester and to be completed approximately by the end of August. Every student will be required to present a report on their research during the seminar series. The subject is available to students who are enrolled in the Criminology Honours program on either a full-time or part time basis.
