This subject is designed for criminology students to develop a critical understanding of the key aspects of contemporary criminal law. This includes the general structure of criminal offences, as well as some specific and selected offences, including homicide. The course also develops students' understanding of criminal process and procedure through the lenses of key institutions such as the courts, police, and juries.
