This subject will explore contemporary issues in the legal profession, locally, nationally, and internationally. The course will place the profession within the pantheon of professions, provide a history of the profession internationally and nationally, but focus on the issues that are driving contemporary practice including the impact of disruptive technologies, wellness, new practice vistas and opportunities, and challenges. The subject will consider the application of corporate disruption case studies to disruption of the legal profession but focus on the issues that are driving contemporary practice including the impact of disruptive business models and new practice vistas.
