Students will be creating in-depth digital story packages, incorporating text, video, audio, photography and data visualisation.

01. Critically evaluate and synthesise arguments in online content; the ability to apply web standards and demonstrate and understanding of how digital journalism is evolving.
02. Demonstrate a critical ability to evaluate a story and select the right media to tell it, applying storytelling principles across different media, and showing proficiency in using audio, video, text and web-based publishing software.
03. Ability to work collaboratively on an extensive investigation, contributing to concept and production of a digital news package.
04. Ability to generate and pitch new and original ideas, and present these with clarity to a group of peers.
05. Demonstrate a sound capacity to research a story, including sourcing appropriate interview subjects, archival materials, and conduct interviews.
