Subject outline

In this subject students develop oral and written proficiency in Italian and learn more about the culture and society of modern Italy. Audio-visual material and short literary texts on contemporary Italian society are used to develop students' competence in speaking, reading and writing and to broaden their knowledge of Italian culture and society. In this subject, students continue working towards attaining Level B1 competence in the Common European Framework of References for Languages.

03. Write critically and creatively about written and audio-visual texts studied in class, using an appropriate linguistic register and displaying an understanding of certain key features of contemporary Italian life
04. Work with a partner or as part of a team in order to present clear, detailed descriptions, concise summaries, and viewpoints on topical issues, interacting with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, and responding to the contributions of others
