Subject outline

In this work-integrated-learning subject, you first self-source your own internship. Then you have to have it approved by the subject coordinator prior to enrolment. Thereafter, throughout the internship, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to a workplace setting which you have pre-arranged and which has been approved. The subject will help you understand issues internal to the organisation in which are interning: its goals, structure, management style and work practices. In an internship lasting anything between 100 - 120 hours, you will develop practical employability skills in a professional setting and you reflect on how those skills benefit a professional setting. To express interest in this subject, please email ASSC.Internships@latrobe.edu.au.
