Credit points: 15
Subject outline
This subject starts with the premise that creativity is a skill that can be taught, and refined with practice. It is designed to provide students with a set of tools, a well-defined process, and a way of thinking that will facilitate the development and execution of creative solutions to a wide range of cross-disciplinary problems currently facing individuals, communities, organisations, and the world. The subject will comprise both the theory and practice of creative intelligence, and will have an emphasis on hands on application of the content. The subject will include a range of exercises, case studies and real world examples. Where relevant, the subject will also look at lessons that can be learned from the habits of history's most creative individuals, teams and organisations. The subject will address issues related to the successful pitching of one's creative ideas and problem solutions, and provide students with the opportunity to practice their communication and influencing skills.
