In this subject, you will be provided with an introduction to learning at university with a focus on the academic skills needed to engage successfully in study in health sciences. You will be introduced to information literacy resources, the Learning Management System (LMS) and a range of online learning support materials. The subject focuses on extending your engagement with content in the other common first-year subjects with a particular focus on scientific knowledge, effective reading, proficient writing and independent study strategies.
