Subject outline

In this subject, students will explore a selected specialty area relevant to health information management practice through an independent research project culminating in a literature review. The subject will prepare students for independent research by extending the skills in inquiry, critical thinking and writing. Students will have the opportunity to investigate a theoretical or applied health information management issue, involving the analysis and synthesis of an important area of research. The topic must be agreed between the student, subject coordinator and academic supervisor, and completed under the supervision of an academic staff member from health information management.
