In this subject you will use the principles of health systems analysis and design learned in previous subjects to explore technical requirements and processes surrounding the introduction of electronic health records (EHRs).Using an enquiry-based learning approach, you will develop an in-depth understanding of design, structural and operational issues related to EHRs such as: EHR structures and architectures, interoperability, privacy and security, person and provider identification, clinical terminologies, clinical decision-support systems, and large data set query and analysis using SQL and business intelligence tools.
