Subject outline

This subject focuses on assessment and interpretation of clinical and instrumental data to explore communication and swallowing difficulties. You will apply knowledge of normal communication and swallowing processes to a clinical setting. A core component of clinical practice in speech pathology centres on performing accurate, valid and reliable assessments. You will gain theoretical and practical experience in conducting and interpreting speech pathology assessments. You will also develop related skills such as explaining assessments results and writing clinical reports for a variety of audiences.
