FAMILY THERAPY THEORY AND PRACTICE B
FTH5TPB
2020
Credit points: 30
Subject outline
In this subject you will incorporate a wider set of family therapy theoretical models from the modernist period into their repertoire for analysing and intervening in their own resources and constraints as therapists as well as engaging families around their presenting problems. Students will evaluate the appropriateness of the various models according to their assessment of the family's situation and their own developing style. They will then use this evaluation in the generation of unique interventions according to the needs of families from their own workplaces that they will see in the small group context led by an experienced family therapy supervisor. You will work towards specified levels of skill as set out in a list of defined competencies.
