Subject outline
In this subject you will complete 140 hours of professional placement within an approved health organisation. These hours will contribute to the requirements for registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. You will need to prove your professional skills, including communication and patient assessment. You will expand your clinical exercise prescription skills, under direct supervision from appropriately qualified and experienced clinicians working in a range of healthcare settings. You need to demonstrate your ability to be a reflective practitioner through the completion of specific learning activities during your professional placement. You will further develop your critical analysis and communication skills through oral case presentations.
