In this subject you will investigate and analyse current research and policy in digital learning, literacy and mathematics including multi-literacies and multimodal resources, with the aim of engaging children and enhancing literacy, mathematical and digital learning in the early years. Relevant research and curriculum documents are used to examine mathematics, literacy and digital curriculum content and identify pedagogical practices which engage children in learning. You will research, plan and analyse inquiry based methodologies as a tool for differentiating the learning activities and assessment opportunities for children with individual learning styles.

01. Design and evaluate integrated early childhood curriculum that incorporates an inquiry approach, with special emphasis on the use of multi-literacies, including an emphasis on multi-modal elements.
02. Design and evaluate curriculum that build mathematical understandings incorporating relevant theory and practice which reflect differentiation.
03. Examine and analyse policies that legislate and guide safe, responsible and ethical use of ICT for learning and how these policies better position effective engagement with digital literacies in educational contexts .
