Subject outline

This subject introduces students to concepts and conventions relating to mathematical expression and communication. Students will develop conceptual knowledge and procedural skills in a range of topics, including the application and interpretation of significant figures and scientific notation. Students will be enabled to solve and express a variety of mathematical problems using appropriate language, strategies, methods and techniques and to apply mathematical concepts and knowledge to different real world situations. Assessment tasks include online quizzes and a project task.
