Subject outline
In this subject you will learn the clinical and theoretical knowledge to support your progression of preclinical skills. You will continue to develop your knowledge of infection control protocols, the comprehensive dental examination and formulation of basic oral health care plans. You will also develop your communication, leadership and health promotion skills. This subject is designed to help you to develop skills in a simulated environment prior to treating members of the public in the third year. You will learn how to complete basic restorations in adults and children, vital pulp therapies, basic radiographic techniques, periodontal instrumentation usage and local anaesthetic administration commonly used in clinical practice.
