Subject outline

In this subject, China Health Program students learn about the sources, interpretation and use of health-related data, including epidemiological surveillance databases and quantitative and qualitative clinical and research data. The collection, analysis and interpretation of epidemiological and health services data to inform decision-making in public health practice, including health management and policy formulation, is emphasised. Students will gain skills in critical appraisal and application of evidence-based approaches to protecting, promotion, maintaining and restoring the health of the community.
