Subject outline

In this interdisciplinary subject you will explore some of the most influential ideas and trends reshaping business and society, including: digitisation; globalization; and social enterprise. This subject examines the effect of these ideas on business, society and the future of work. In doing so, your academic and communication skills will be extended. This subject addresses La Trobe's Global Citizenship Essential through an examination of the external, global context in which many businesses operate across international cultural, political and institutional boundaries. You will also examine the internal context which operates within many businesses involving communication and engagement with a diverse, multicultural group of stakeholders. Not only will you enhance your communications skills, but you will also engage in thinking about and discussing the trends shaping society and the world of work into which you will soon graduate.
