Credit points: 15

Subject outline

In this core, interdisciplinary, business subject you will explore some of the most influential ideas transforming business today, including: digitisation; globalization; and social enterprise. In this subject you will examine the effect of such ideas on business, society and the future of work. In so doing, you will be introduced to the academic and communication skills required to be successful both at university and in business today. This subject addresses La Trobe's Global Citizenship Essential through an examination of the external, global context in which many businesses operate across international cultural, political and institutional boundaries, and the internal context which operates within many businesses involving communication and engagement with a diverse, multicultural group of stakeholders. The subject is also designed to allow you to work closely with fellow students.
