STUDIO PRACTICE D
ART2SPD
2020
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
This subject extends on the work done in Studio Practices and continues to encourage students to work on independent self-directed projects and to develop their research skills and critical enquiry. While encouraged to continue to work and experiment across mediums, students will begin refining their practice and conceptual interests which define it, working towards the production of an advanced folio of work. The artwork will be supported by the analysis of the work of several contemporary artists placing the student's own practice within this context. Students will continue to learning an open-studio model, with an emphasis on strong studio practice. This will be complemented by a range of activities, including lectures, seminars, critique sessions and gallery visits.
