Subject outline
In this core choice subject you will explore and discuss key themes as well as share ideas and interests in Anthropology. Topics covered will draw on research related to the Pacific region, South-east Asia, North-west and South-east Australia. You will consider issues such as global and local cultural relations, popular culture, belief systems, environmental issues, food and culture and human and animal relations. In addition you will dedicate class time to examining how key themes operate in applied contexts outside of the academy, and as such you will engage in the broader areas of employment opportunities for Anthropologists.
