The aim of this subject is to further develop your understanding of more advanced performance management and control processes and practices to support management decision making in today business environment. Topics include sustainability accounting, budgetary control and behavioural issues, capital investment decision making, responsibility accounting and performance management system, transfer pricing and employee incentive systems. The subject uses both interactive workshops and on-line learning to help students achieve learning outcomes. Interactive workshops help students to develop technology skill, group-work and communication skills, personal reflection skill and critical thinking skill. Online resources including learning guide, academic and professional articles, self-assessment tests, lecture and tutorial videos are available ahead of workshops to facilitate students' self-study and research skills. All of these skills and knowledge will be put into test through a final exam and two in-semester authentic assessments which give students opportunity to engage in real-life problem solving in management accounting role.
