Subject outline

In this subject students will investigate commonly occurring adult neurological conditions and extend their knowledge of evidence-based practice in neurological rehabilitation. Theories of motor leaning and motor control will be discussed in relation to unimpaired functioning and neurological re-education. Practical aspects of this subject will be used to extend students professional handling skills by providing them with experience in the application of motor interventions which integrate motor control and motor learning theory and treating practices. New techniques in the assessment and retraining of somatosensations are also presented. This subject utilises LMS for discussions, sharing of information, formative and peer assessments .
