This Capstone subject utilises anintegrated approach to the teaching of therapeutics and pharmacy practice.Itdevelops further the knowledge gained in the Therapeutics Subjects completedduring 2nd, 3rd and 4th year.The aim is to provide students with theskills to apply this therapeutic knowledge and to problem solve and improve thehealth outcomes of patients.Using a mix of theory and clinicalplacements the subject provides experiential and practical content aboutpharmaceutical care.Through case scenarios and oral assessment studentswill explore the expanded role of the pharmacist in the delivery of optimisedtherapy.This subject puts into clinical practice prior knowledge and newtopics on common presenting illnesses.

Prerequisites Must have passed all subjects from (PHA2THA, PHA3THB, PHA3THC, PHA3THD, PHA3PLP). Only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Pharmacy course (SVPB or SBPM or RHP or SHPM).

Satisfactory placement report and/or manual from placement is required to pass this subject.
