VAHS Yarning Safe'N'Strong helpline is available 24/7 on: 1800 959 563 and have culturally suitable counsellors you can yarn safely with.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can also book in to see another of our generalist counsellors, a LGBTIQA+ counsellor or a Men’s Health and Wellbeing Coordinator.
Please note if you are using our services face-to-face you are required to be double vaccinated and may be required to show proof of your vaccination status on entry to our services.
Our services are operating face-to-face, online (Zoom) and via phone once again. Online bookings are for non-urgent counselling only. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or an emergency situation, please use one of the emergency contacts. Also check out our new COVID-19 support page
Please note: The Indigenous Counsellors days and hours of work are Wednesday & Thursday 9am – 5pm.

La Trobe University respects the privacy of your personal information. We collect personal information about you to register and identify you with our counselling and wellbeing services. If you do not complete this form, then we may not be able to provide you with counselling services. The counselling service maintains confidential records of counselling sessions to monitor and facilitate your counselling and progress. Access, collection and storage of your personal information by the University is in accordance with the Health Records Act 2001. We treat the information we receive from you with confidentiality and respect and will only disclose your information to third parties outside the University with your consent or where it is required or authorised by law. You may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you subject to any exemptions in relevant laws, by contacting us on privacy@latrobe.edu.au.
