Subject outline

In Procurement and Supply Chain Management, you will be introduced to the theory and practice of supply chain management and its implications for strategic and operational business decisions. You will have the opportunity to use supply chain management concepts in a range of business and project contexts: supply chain strategies; procurement issues and supplier relationships; demand management and inventory control; information sharing and collaborative behaviour; integration and alignment; ethical sourcing and social/environmental sustainability. Working independently and working together with other students, both on-line and face-to-face, you will learn about supply chain management through solving business problems, and develop the ethical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills required to understand, analyse, and improve supply chain operations of businesses, and add sustainable value to any organisation.
