Subject outline

Building on their theoretical and practical understanding of screen production practices, students work individually and collaboratively to produce a web series. Students learn to engage with an on-line environment to analyse and ultimately contribute to the web as screen content providers. Students will devise and produce audio-visual material for possible continuous short form production. The aim of this subject is to produce creative, industry ready screen content producers, who have practical experience dealing with ethical issues, copyright, identifying & writing for target audiences and working to client expectations and briefs. This subject may include fiction, non-fiction, drama, writing for the screen, performance. Activities:
The web series that they participate in creating has the potential to be streamed on a web platform outside of the university context. Students are required to research, produce and discuss the themes expressed within the charter aligned to this web channel.
