The focus of this subject is the skills and knowledge required to develop mobile applications based on the Android mobile platform. The subject provides information on creating Android applications responding to events, using features of the mobile device, using communication protocols, web connectivity and using different data persistence techniques. The subject also provides information on designing, debugging and developing applications that optimise the performance.

- Activities:
- Multimedia presentation and Computer Power Learning Content will form the main learning. Self- paced online practical activities, quizzes and webinars will be used to reinforce the learning.

- Activities:
- Multimedia presentation and Computer Power Learning Content will form the main learning. Webinars will be used to demonstrate the skills and techniques on debugging. Discussion forums will be used to answer any further follow- up questions.
03. Develop an Android application that responds to events

04. Programming using features available on an Android mobile device
- Activities:
- Webinars will be used to demonstrate the skills and techniques on how to use several common features in mobile devices when creating Android apps.
