Subject outline
In this subject you will expand on concepts and procedures learned in Advanced Diagnostics 1. You will gain knowledge and practical skills in advanced aspects of diagnostic audiology including assessment of vestibular function and central auditory function. Through lectures and workshops, you will build on theoretical and practical knowledge, develop skills in the diagnosis of pathology and interpretation of advanced diagnostic assessments particularly in relation to vestibular pathology. You will further gain knowledge of the nature of auditory processing disorder (APD), including its causes and neurological correlates, the relationship between APD and other language/cognitive factors and disorders and intervention strategies for APD. Your learning in this subject will be assessed by written examinations, and two written assessments.
