Subject outline

In this subject, students will be provided with the opportunity to apply and extend their knowledge of Prosthetics and Orthotics in a clinical setting. Upon successful completion of this subject, students must have demonstrated their ability to provide clinical and technical prosthetic and/or orthotic professional services under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. Emphasis is placed on providing students with an opportunity to develop their assessment, skills, while participating as a team member within their allocated clinical facility.

04. Prescribe, justify and provide orthotic and prosthetic clinical services and treatment, including client education, fitting and review of devices, in collaboration with clinical supervisors.
