Subject outline

This subject explores theconceptualisation of some of the most heinous atrocities such as genocide,crimes against humanity, war crimes and aggression as international crimes. Itconsiders their historical development and the way the crimes have beenadjudicated at various international criminal courts and tribunals.Attention is paid to the consequences of the application of the substance andprocedure of international criminal law, while also analyisng the role andeffect on participants, reconciliation and post-war transition.
