Subject outline
The intensive 10 day placement in an adult psychiatric setting is designed to complement the unit PSYSPAD and usually consists of a two-week, full time placement in an acute ward, CAT (crisis intervention) team or other psychiatric service. Candidates observe diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, write MSE and diagnostic reports and present a case and attend peer case conferences.

- Interviews of people with major mental health disorders. Practice in writing mental status and diagnostic reports
03. Competence in communication of diagnostic assessment
- Activities:
- Participation in placement case conferences, including presentation of one case
