Career Building and Employability Program

Take your future into your own hands with the BECOME ME program!

The NSW Government has provided funding via the Regional Youth Investment Program (RYIP) for La Trobe University to partner with BECOME Education to create and deliver an exciting and free online course to support NSW students studying a degree at La Trobe University to become career and life capable.

Tailored specifically to you, the BECOME ME Career Building and Employability Program helps you build awareness, set your aspirations and gain the agency you need to create the life and career of your choice.

Program features

The course takes place over three, 2-hour facilitated online sessions or one intensive day face to face session. You’ll use a variety of interactive tools to create a log of possibilities; better understand outside influences in your career choices; and ask killer questions to really understand your options and what most inspires you.

Both NSW and Victorian based students are encouraged to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Another NSW Government RYIP funded initiative available for La Trobe students include $2500 bursaries to support NSW students studying a degree at La Trobe University in Albury-Wodonga to connect with industry in the NSW Riverina region and complete a work-based learning placement as part of their degree.
