TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TOP 5 CHALLENGE – La Trobe University Orientation

  1. The Promoter is: La Trobe University (ABN 64 804 735 113) of registered office address: Plenty Road, Bundoora, VIC, 3086. The abovementioned company will be hereafter referred to as the ‘Promoter.’
  2. Employees of the Promoter or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
  3. To enter the completion, an entrant must be a currently enrolled La Trobe University student.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their acceptance and agreement to verification of their enrolment via Student Information System.
  5. To enter the competition an entrant must complete the 5 activities listed on the Top 5 Challenge card. These activities being:
    • Order or Collect Student ID Card
    • Attend Course Essentials Session
    • Complete a Uni Essentials Session
    • Attend a Uni Survival and Success Session
    • Join a Campus Tour
  6. Confirmation of completion of the above activities will be given by stamping and/or signing/initialling of Top 5 Challenge Card by La Trobe University Staff Members and/or La Trobe University Student Hosts.
  7. Closing date for entry will be 5pm (AEDT) Friday 6th March 2020. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  8. Entries must be submitted to clearly marked boxes on campus. Entry boxes will be located as follow:
    • Albury-Wodonga Campus – Library, ASK La Trobe, La Moka, and Building 6 Foyer
    • Bendigo Campus – Host Hub (Student Union)
    • Bundoora Campus – Library Foyer
    • City Campus – Level 2 Reception
    • Mildura Campus – ASK La Trobe Desk
    • Shepparton Campus – Reception, Student Lounge and Student Hub
  9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. The rules of the competition and the prize for each winner are as follows:
    • For each Top 5 Challenge Card competed the entrant receives 1 ticket into the draw.
    • An entrant can enter the completion no more than once.
    • The entrant must be enrolled in a minimum of one 15 credit point or higher subject in order for their entry to be valid.
  11. The prizes for the competition are as follow:
    • Grand Prize – 1 Series 5 Apple Watch (1 Winner total from La Trobe University – may be from any Victorian Campus)
    • Campus Prizes – La Trobe University Merchandise Packs (6 Winners total, one from each Victorian Campus)
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control.
  13. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  14. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  15. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
  16. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  17. Winner will be drawn at random at La Trobe University, Plenty Road, Bundoora, VIC on Friday 20th March 2020.
  18. The winner will be notified by email to student email address within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  19. The Promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
  20. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  21. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  22. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
  23. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  24. The winner’s name may be published on our website and/or social media networks.
  25. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to any other party.
