Solomon Islands project

The Institute has partnered with Cardno to provide support to two DFAT-funded programs in the Solomon Islands with this delivered through through the Solomon Islands Resource Facility. Both programs are running from 2017 to 2021.

The Solomon Islands Justice Program is working towards the goal of communities in Solomon Islands having greater access to a credible justice system that supports the rule of law.

The Solomon Islands Governance Program is working towards the goal of government agencies more effectively supporting economic growth and service delivery.

Since 2018, the Institute has been supporting ongoing learning, reflection and adaptation in these programs through support for monitoring and evaluation processes. Led by Institute Co-Director Linda Kelly, this has included:

  • supporting the development of monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks, approaches and tools for both programs;
  • supporting the design and facilitation of six-monthly analysis and review workshops;
  • supporting action research and learning processes.;
  • providing mentoring and support to monitoring, evaluation and learning teams.
