Regional Migration and Multiculturalism Research Cluster
Regional Australia has become an increasingly important site of migration, mobility and multiculturalism.
Researchers from Sociology, Anthropology, and Community Planning and Development have been working for several years on a range of issues related to migrant and refugee settlement and mobility with a focus on regional Victoria. This includes research on temporary and permanent migration, migrant and refugee work, migration policies, multiculturalism and social cohesion.
An upcoming symposium in Bendigo will explore the learnings and insights on regional migration and multiculturalism with researchers and practitioners.
The symposium will be held on 12 November 2019.
