The School consists of three major teaching and research Departments and a specialist Centre for Technology Infusion:

The Centre for Technology Infusion is a unique strategic arm of the School operations with a focus to provide research service to develop solutions for industry and commercialisation support.
The School has a reputation for quality research and teaching programs across the Melbourne and Bendigo campuses. We operate closely with industry attracting project and research collaboration from other universities, companies and research facilities from around the world.
The School hosts a strong multidisciplinary stream of research and teaching courses in Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics-Statistics. The School is recognised for its strong industry engagement programs and work integrated learning, ensuring our students graduate with practical experience, underpinned by a strong theoretical knowledge.
Leading its multidisciplinary research focus research, we specialize in remote sensing, data science, medical informatics, smart sensor applications, and intelligent transport systems amongst many other research expertise and endeavour.

We are very excited to host a specialist technology Innovation and Commercialisation unit "the Centre for Technology Infusion" that leverages the research development in the School to deliver industry applied projects to commercial realisation.

Computer Sciences and Information Technology
With renowned programs for work placement, industry learning, excellent teaching and industry funded research the School provides an outstanding environment for students to learn and discover integral skills to find relevant employment in the industry.
Our courses are accredited by the Australian Computer Society at a professional level. The courses cover industry standard software and application development. We have produced a large number of outstanding graduates and postgraduates through our intensive courses and research training.
Mathematics and Statistics
Our teaching programs in Mathematics and Statistics have been highly celebrated and recognised for developing quality graduates. The teaching staff have received recognition for their innovative and excellent teaching programs with dedicated staff. The discipline has worldwide recognised research partnerships and collaboration with top international Universities.
The area works closely with the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), the pre-eminent industry association body. This connection to and partnership provides research project placement and internships offering students outstanding opportunities to develop their knowledge and employment prospects.
Workplace Integrated Learning and Work Placement
The School has a long and successful history of industry partnerships, providing critical industry experience and opportunities for both workplace integrated learning and employment. Many of our students have completed work placement to then find outstanding employment with their industry sponsors.
Students have the opportunity to receive practical training through our cadetships at a range of industry based organisations in a broad range of practical settings.
